Another part of planning ahead is thinking about any snacks that you might want during the week.
I was gifted a short subscription to Graze and continues with it for a couple of weeks. It is a great idea and I loved having little snacks to have throughout the day. However, being frugal as I am, I couldn’t really justify the additional cost in my budget or the additional waste produced by the packaging. So I trundled over to Home Bargains with the idea of grabbing some tiny tuppaware to make my own counterfeit versions.
The picture above is my second batch and contains a variety of things, from Wasabi Peas and Wasabi Sunflower seeds to Trail Mix and Bombay mix. I can buy the fillings in bulk (many from Home Bargains) fill the tubs and then reuse them over and over again.
Not only do you save money, but you can have the healthy snacks of your choice.
